Based in Crosby for the past 8 years, Bohar Mechanical is located on several acres of fragrant, green pasturelands that were once home to a small herd of thoroughbred horse.  In this relaxed setting on the outskirts of the bustling metropolis of Houston, the pace seems slower, the living is easier, the people friendlier and the work environment top-notch for productivity.  Old fashion honesty, integrity and small town pride in one's work forms the core statement of eveyone at Bohar Mechanical.  Our crew consist of CEO Linda Harvey and Secretary and Office Manager, Helen  Rountree with notary Karen Robertson.   Roger Bowen is Bohar's Certified Welder, Project Manager and Pipe Department Supervisor.  Donnie Harvey is engaged as Project Manager, Pipe Department Supervisor and Estimator.  Gary Scales and Jaime Zepeda are both HVAC Project Managers and Estimators with extensive experience in the Houston area.

In the business world of Commercial HVAC Contractors, Bohar Mechanial is a minoirty owned WBEA and Hub Certified HVAC organization that specializes in full spectrum mechanical servies.  All mechanical piping jobs are bid separately through our pipe department.  Bohar Mechanical offers complete heating, ventilation and air-condition systems, including ductwork installation, systems service and repair to our commercial and medical customers.

Bohar Mechanical is a member of Women in HVAC, The Baytown Hispanic Chamber and the Highlands Chamber of Commerce.  The Company CEO is past member and officer of the now disbanded Lum-Roark Chapter UDC of Baytown, Texas and past member of Benjamin Winfree Chapter DRT of Chambers County.  She is currently a member of Los Bexarenos Genealogy Society of San Antonio, past Vice President of the Adaesanos Foundation of Robeline, Louisiana, current member of the Natchitoches Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society and a life member of the Founder of Natchitoches.  Her experience in pipefitting comes from working 10 years in the office and out in the field as a pipe fitter's helper with her father and brother, former owners of Dan-Mar Construstion.  Prior to her affiliation with Bohar Mechanical Ms. Harvey owned and operated a successful business for 28 years.  She is a Registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician with the State of Texas and woks out in the field when the need arises.

In 2003 and 2004 Bohar Mechanical  participated in the building and installation of the 1st Methyl Bromide Reclaim unit in the United States.  This unit was installed at Bush Intercontinental Airport. In accordance with TNRCC regulations, the fumigation process the USDA used to de-contaminate products shipped in to the USA must be reclaimed rather than allowed to discharge into the atmosphere.  This project, the 1st of its kind, was set up using high volume fans to evacuate the fumigant Methyl Bromide into carbon absorber tanks to be reclained or incinerated.  Bohar Mechanical provided the exhuast dutchwork and testing parts in each of the fumigant rooms which now serves the USDA operated Building at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Gary Scales brings to Bohar Mechanical his extensive experience in the medical field of HVAC.  He previously designed and implemented a cooling system used to cool MRI Cryogen Chillers.  This design alleviated the need for a separate chiller usually required to perform the cooling for the MRI Cryogen Stock.  The old chiller design incorporated an expensive and maintenace intensive Chiller.  Scales' design utilized two pumps and a heat exchanger coupled to a DDC control system that is less expensive and requires much less maintenance. This same design was used to provide a cooling source for a linear accelerator.  GE Medical Systems Corporate has taken note of Scales' design and utilized a similar system in some of their latest projects.  Through Mr. Scales, Bohar Mechanical has become involved in Clean Room Applications for Hospital Pharmacy Upgrades related to USP 797 guidelines.  This upgrade was mandated to provide Class 700 & Class 800 Clean Room Atmosphere for IV prep stations.

Class 700 Rooms are utilized for radioactive chemotherapy IV bags.  These rooms are fed with 99.997% clean air at 3 micron particulate and are maintained at a negative pressure to the adjoining ante-room.  Class 800 rooms are used for standard IV prep rooms.  The same degree of cleanliness for supply air that is used for Class 700 rooms is maintained here as well, although the pressure requirement in this room is positive to its' adjoining Ante Room.  The ante-rooms to both Class 700 & Class 800 rooms are fed with the same air cleanliness requirements and maintain a positive pressure to the general pharmacy.

Bohar Mechanical operates under Class A Mechanical Contractor's license number TACLA022807E issued by the Texas State Department of Licensing and Regulation in Austin, TX.  Our service tech are on call 24-7 and will be there when you need them.
